Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your information.

Last updated: May 2026

At skipQs, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you use our virtual queue management platform, available at skipqs.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

  • Account information: name, email address and password when you register
  • Queue information: name and optional phone number when you join a queue
  • Business information: hospital or business name, address, phone number and department details when you register as a provider
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions with the platform (collected automatically)

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

  • Manage your virtual queue position and send updates
  • Enable healthcare providers and businesses to manage customer wait times
  • Improve the skipQs platform and develop new features
  • Send important account notifications (e.g. password resets)
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to any third parties.

3. Location Data

When you search for nearby services, skipQs may request your browser's location to show you relevant results. Location data is used only to display nearby businesses and is never stored permanently on our servers. Geolocation lookup for business addresses is performed via the OpenStreetMap Nominatim API (open-source, privacy-respecting).

4. Third-Party Services

skipQs uses the following trusted third-party services:

  • Supabase — database, authentication and real-time data (servers in the EU)
  • OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — open-source maps and address lookup
  • Google Fonts — font delivery (no personal data shared)

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and never stored in plain text. We apply row-level security policies in our database so that each user can only access their own data. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@skipqs.com.

7. Cookies

skipQs uses only essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or analytics cookies. You can manage cookie settings in your browser, although disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.

8. Children's Privacy

skipQs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email or by a notice on the skipQs website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
